Australia Day, parkrun #124, cricket....

Friday Tammie and I played golf...

I hadn't played since last year and managed 33pts (89 off the stick) for my best round since mid-November...enough to win a ball...Tammie had one she'd rather forget!

we had dinner at Jodie and Lisa's while we watched the second innings of the Adelaide ODI...

yesterday it was quite still and muggy for parkrun...my first run in a week...

cricket was at O'Connor again (most of our games are there)...we (3rd) were playing Gungahlin (4th)...

they won the toss and batted, scoring 9/221 off their 45 overs...we should have kept them well under 200 except we dropped about 10 catches...

I finished with 2/38 off my 9...the first was a caught & bowled just above my feet, I ended up catch it between my wrists as I tumbled over and back to my feet...the second was caught on the boundary at long off, a magnificent running and diving catch by a player that hadn't played in 5 years!

in fact he ended up with four catches, two of which were regulation with the other an overhead mark at mid off...

he also opened the batting and was 4th out for 134 with the score on 176...we ended up getting the runs with 5.2 overs remaining...I came in at 5 and was not out on 25 at the end, batting much better than my last game...

found a cache right near the ground then watched the end of the 'canes game on my phone in my car (they lost to the Stars in the last over) then headed home to watch the Heat play the Renegades...thankfully the Renegades won so the 'canes will play the Scorchers on Thursday night in the semi at the new Optus Stadium...

this morning I took the boys for a walk before heading out for a BRun...
