the last event of the Twilight O season was at Commonwealth Park with the registration area set up at CJs HQ...
with our club as the organisers Jodie and I volunteered to be on the rego desk from 5:30-6:45pm...I walked over from work while Jodie parked at Regatta Point and we both managed to arrive early at about 5:00pm...
we relieved the other volunteers early and then proceeded to take registrations/money and hand over maps and SI sticks...there were quite a few new people including a whole bunch of cub scouts!
we finished on time and helped pack some stuff up before heading to dinner at the Hellenic Club in Moore St to spend my $50 voucher...
we ended up playing trivia while we waited which was run by Ken Telfer (an ACTVAC sprinter although he doesn't run much at our meets any more and he also used to take work Pilates classes which I did back in 2011)...Lisa joined us for dinner, in time for the second half of the trivia...we went from equal last after the first half to equal third last at the end which was enough to score us a bottle of wine!
it was a fun night!
