we stayed up to see in the New Year with the Melbourne fireworks on TV...
New Year's Day saw me do the parkrun double - Pakenham (8am) and Berwick Springs (9:30am)...this is the only day you can have two parkruns added to your tally...Tammie also came with me and found some of the caches which Suze and I had found at Berwick Springs...

I made sure I didn't start quite as fast as Saturday so I was surprised that I was only 4 seconds slower...
we jumped in the car for the 15min drive to Berwick Springs...I think most of the ones that did Pakenham did the same...

the second placed female was masters legend Lavinia Petrie who finished in 22:41, an age % of 103.23!!
I was trying to get under 23:00 again but it wasn't to be...it was a nice course though with a bit of undulation to break things up...
we did some washing and packing for the early start the next day then headed into the MCG for the WBBL/BBL double header Stars/Renegades derby...
despite the odd break in play due to rain, it was good fun...the highlight was KP's catch...
yesterday was an early start to be at the Spirit of Tasmania terminal 90mins before departure at 9am on Spirit of Tasmania II...
we got underway on time but our arrival was pushed out 30mins due to the wind...it was pretty smooth while still in Port Phillip Bay but got quite choppy in the middle...it was pretty cool to cross paths with Spirit of Tasmania right on 4.5hrs into our trip...
we were in the first 20 or so cars off and we got to our destination in Summerhill (Launceston) around 8pm...we are staying with one of Tammie's cousins...
this morning I got out for a run a little later than the past week...it was certainly a lot hillier than Pakenham!

after breakfast and some cricket watching, we headed into town for a bit of a walk (found one cache, DNF'd another)...we had lunch at Liveat...
Tammie bought squiggle a vivofit 3 and she's keen to do parkrun with me on Saturday!
we visited City Park and watched the Japanese Macaques for a while...there were some quite young ones there so that was cool...
we also visited one of Tammie's aunts and uncles before heading back to watch the end of the cricket...
