parkrun #62...

for the second week in a row, the rain held off for parkrun...and again I ran through the puddles...just to top it off, my time was identical to last week as well...

there was a deceptive headwind heading to the turn and the finish...

I hung about to give John H (walking the course) the controls for street O Monday...

I'd pulled out of golf the night before as the course would have been too heavy and not much fun...so I took the Brunner to my bike shop in Civic (OnYa Bike) to get the brakes adjusted (hopefully ready Monday) and also got a haircut while I was out...I think it's been at last 3 months since I had one!

Jodie met me at PetBarn in Weston so I could use a 30% off voucher she got to get cat food, dog food and worming tablets for Hodge...

I was only meant to be playing the second game of our double-header but ended up playing both...we were playing the bottom two teams so we had two big wins as expected...

the first game I kept and copped a few balls on the legs (from my "team"mates) as well my right hand...in the second game I was on the back stumps and my right hand copped more of a hammering...ice was required!

Jodie came over for dinner and to watch the Raiders/Sharks game which I'd recorded...we had managed to avoid hearing the result at indoor, on the car radio and at Little Theo's (pizza for dinner)...we'd also avoided checking FB and seeing the result...

this morning I did a long run with a difference for me...I made it hillier and also planned to finish at Phillip Ice Rink where Jodie was playing broomball so I could get a lift home...I included part of the BBQ Stakes route and it was tip-toe territory through the mud...

we got stuck into cleaning the cat enclosure on the back deck...Jodie was a demon with the high pressure water cleaner...

we got rid of one of the scratching posts and replaced it with another that Jodie had bought on Gumtree...she also put in artificial grass, a nice piece of firewood as well as a good sized rubber mat to go under the kitty litter...
