New machine, FkF #322, cricket, parkrun #25, golf...

got a text from Onya Bike just as I was getting ready to leave work to say that my bike was ready for pick up (5 weeks early!!)...

my ride home was good but I had to be careful for the last part home as there are cars parked everywhere off/on Chirnside Cres due to Oztag...

the stats:

made plans to pick up Jodie in the morning to take her work on my way to get my bike so we only had one car at the cricket...

then I nearly forgot to call past the AIS to pick up the Daniels results...as it was Garry was just finishing putting them together when I got there...

got to the bike shop just after 8:30am and walked out with my new bike just on 9...

here's the first photo just before I put it on the roof...

then I spent the rest of the morning switching pedals, sitting up my new cleats and transferring stuff to the new machine before heading in for FkF...

it was much cooler than last week and I pushed hard to chase the runners in front and then tried to keep going until the end...

the stats:
start temp/humidity: 15.3/55% (apparent temp same)

very happy with this time as it was 43secs faster than last week and was the first time under 22 since 31 May 2013 when I ran my fastest FkF in 21:24...this ranks at 12th...

from FkF it was off to find a free park for the cricket in a 2hr spot near Telopea Park School (time restrictions were relaxed), a quick change and then off to get lunch before meeting mum & dad...

Tammie's mum joined us then Jodie arrived after walking from a meeting at Barton...

the cricket itself was a bit of a fizzer in the end - NZ batted first and made 8/307 which was probably about 40 short after being 0/196...the PM's XI were all out for 205...the pink ball was hard to see so it will be interesting to see how it goes in the day/night test in Adelaide...

this morning conditions were good for parkrun...this was #25 (#23 @ Tuggeranong)...

this week I tried to stick with Lauren who is normally faster than me...I stuck with her until the second pass under the bridge (not far before the 2k) when I passed her as she seemed to be slowing...I stayed ahead of her until the last 150m when she reeled me back in...didn't bother me as I had run a massive PB of 30secs to finish in 21:39!

the stats:
start temp/humidity: 11.6/78% (apparent temp same)
start time: 8:02am
total distance: 4.97

26th out of 228, age 74.06%...4th female out of 108...1st W45-49 out of 16...

golf (stableford) was a bit better than last week as I played only 5 shots worse than my handicap...I also picked up nearest the pin (I was the only one to get on the green)...

tomorrow I'm hoping to go for a test ride after I take Hodge for a run...
