Green lane...

had a good walk in spite of the rain this morning...surprisingly my ride was fast, not so surprisingly Canberra drivers don't know what to do about the green lane > From the TAMS website: "To highlight and improve safety for both cyclists and motorists, some sections of Canberra's on-road bike lanes have been painted green, to reinforce that motorists must give way to cyclists at these points"...given the rain and the tunnel closure, there were extra cars on Commonwealth Ave exiting to London Circuit or Parkes Way...instead of stopping so the green lane was clear, all bar one car was stopped either partially in or right on the lane...thankfully the one car that had kept clear gave me the space to pass the last car...

my new cycling shoes and pedals arrived...I was going to get them through Onya Bike but the price they offered of $169 for the pedals and $149 for the shoes with 15% off each because I'm buying my bike from them still couldn't compete with Chain Reaction Cycles prices of $79 & $111 respectively with free delivery...

it was cool but muggy for my run...bit of a strong breeze too coming from the east...
