used the new toy on last night’s ride home and it went smoothly…must have had a tailwind as I broke 50 for the first time in ages…

FkF involved the use of a new Floriade course…no road crossings and no hillls, starting & finishing at the globe at Regatta Point…unfortunately, the marking for the first turnaround point was very hard to see (pink chalk on the lake’s edge next to the red gravel of Rond Terrace…at least four people missed it…

the other thing that was disappointing is that it measured long by about 150m…I had 5.17k, others had 5.16 and 5.13…

I got annoyed at Lloyd sitting off my shoulder into the wind and then passing me before the second turn after I’d done all the hard work…he had the hide to thank me at the end…I was not impressed…

if changes aren’t made to the course, I’ll probably stick to parkrun until Floriade is over…
