7pm came and went so I went to see what was happening...we were the only ones to show so no class...back home we headed with Hodge shaking himself dry over the inside of my car!
back on the bike this morning after skipping Tuesday & Wednesday due to the rain...soft, I know!
had some more interesting encounters on the way to work - one car which couldn't navigate a roundabout properly and drifted into the cycle lane while I was right beside them and a pedestrian who decided to stop and have a conversation on the pedestrian crossing right in front of me...

had a call from mum to find out that my great auntie Dot had died early this morning...I'm glad I could visit her in December last year and that Tim had taken Madeleine to meet her only a couple of weeks ago...prior to that the last time I was there was January 2010 after Jodie and I had run the Cadbury Half Marathon in Hobart - I took the hire car for a trip to Launceston for a surprise visit, she was speechless for the first time ever!...
I'll always remember her trying to run onto the field to see me during the National Championships in Adelaide in 1986...lucky mum stopped her!
she also had an intense dislike of green and I used to wear it to annoy her!
she always checked on how Tim and I were going during her weekly call with mum...she thought I was silly to play aussie rules at my age and was always asking "what injury I had" now!...
she will be sorely missed, the last of that generation to go and the last and youngest of five siblings...rest in peace Auntie Dot...
