street O @ Duffy-Holder...

the last event of the summer season was on the Duffy-Holder map...

after last week's effort we went with course C - to visit 12 out of 20 controls...

we got the map 5mins before the start and planned our course...

this time we visited all the controls we needed and finished with 14:18 to spare...

street O takes a break for Easter before starting again on 13 April at Ainslie, the first of the winter series...

next week though we will be doing a Night O event at Cooleman Ridge on Friday night, the first of a series of four for the Orienteering With Lights Series (OWLS)...you can start any time between 6:30pm and 7:00pm and must finish by 8:15pm...there will be three courses (Powerful Owl – 5.5 km, Barking Owl – 3.5 km, Barn Owl – 2.2 km) and are standard O events where you must do them in the order for the course selected...it will be full SportIdent and each control will have reflectors...headlamps/torches will be required!

the other three events will be held at:

  • Mt Rogers - 17 April
  • Yarralumla Bays - 1 May (clashes with Brumbies v Waratahs!)
  • Mt Ainslie North - 8 May
