rode home through Mitchell to avoid getting delayed at road crossings…a little longer distance wise but not as much stopped time…
training was good – lots of running…about 16 or so were there…
got up on time this morning but took my time getting ready...perhaps I was subconsiously avoiding the cold?!
no ACTVAC HM for me this year as Team JOB has entered the Canberra Centenary Metrogaine/Cyclegaine run by the ACT Rogaining Association…we are doing the cycle option…the HM starts at 8:30am while the Metrogaine/Cyclegaine starts at 9:30am so no chance of me finishing in time to do both…6hrs of cycling should be close enough to running a good HM!
I have entered the Canberra Times Fun Run 14k option so I’ll make that a focus of my training…there’s a few other longer runs I will look into doing as well…maybe the YCRC West Basin 10 miler on 31 August and the YCRC Goorooyarroo/Mulligans Flat HM on 19 October??
