Ashton Agar...

Day 1 of the First Test started last night...I was surprised to see Ashton Agar selected ahead of Nathan Lyon...

after a somewhat hesitant start, the Aussies did well to restrict to England to 215...workhorse Siddle lead the way with 5/50...Agar only bowled 7 overs but looked promising...somewhat Vettori-like...unfortunately the Aussie top order failed to be 4/75 at stumps...

it was a cold and foggy ride into work this morning even though I left home after 8...

a good gym session at lunch...majority of the exercises were done with a fit ball...

it was a bit warmer for the ride home...I was keen to get my grocery shopping out of the way so I could watch Day 2 of the Test...

Smith and Hughes batted well before Smith's wicket lead to a collapse...in fact, Australia were 9/117 when Agar come to the crease...I sit here now watching this last wicket parternship continue beyond lunch and 140...Agar on 87, the highest score by a #11 on debut and the highest score by an Australian #11, surpassing the man who presented him with his cap (Glenn McGrath)...just incredible for someone so young...

Glad you're not a selector for the VB team!
