about 25 runners for FkF...still on the longer course but at least it wasn't as windy as last week...consequently a faster run this week...
yesterday we played Queanbeyan at Town Park in Queanbeyan...Queanbeyan has never beaten us in their short history (entered the comp in 2010) and that remains the case after a 52 point win...we had a quiet 2nd & 3rd quarter scoring-wise but defended well...
this was also my 50th consecutive game since returning from my broken wrist (coincidentally broken in the first game of 2010 against Queanbeyan)...my streak was nearly curtailed earlier in the season when I was named as an emergency as part of the player rotation policy but fortunately for me one of the players was late so I was able to play...
played indoor cricket at 3:45pm against Wests at Kambah...again we won by a fair margin and I bowled much better this week...we've had three wins from as many games and now we have a break for two weeks before playing the same teams again...
High Flyers was a two course dinner with Geoff Lawson as the after dinner speaker at the Dickson Tradies...the proceedings were over by 10pm so I was able to head home to watch some more cricket...
today I delayed my long run until after most of the rain had passed...I decided to run a different route to vary things up...next Sunday is the Bush Capital HM...was an OK run but I was definitely feeling the effects of the usual physical game against Queanbeyan...
didn't do much the rest of the day although we did go for a drive to the Arboretum and check out the Pod Playground as well as find a cache or three...
now I'm watching what could be an interesting finish to the Test, Australia are 9 down with 31 required after Pattinson has just hit a six...
