this morning I opted to drive instead of riding in the rain (soft, I know)...
Day 2a of the gym program and Dylan, my trainer for the session, decided he would up just about all the weights to see me fail...so...
- single arm dumbbell row 3x3 each arm...25kg up from 22.5kg...no fail but hard!
- assisted close grip pull up...2x6-8...25kg down from 30kg (here the lighter the weight the harder it is)...1x6,1x5...partial fail...
- straight arm lat pull down...2x10...90lbs up from 8lbs...no fail but hard!
- sumo squats...4x8...47.5kg up from 45kg*...no fail
- leg extensions...2x10...30kg up from 27.5kg...no fail
- dumbbell bicep curls...3x3...tried 15kg which was the weight I was doing (2x3,1x2 only) pre-marathon but I was unsuccessful (Dylan wasn't going to make me increase that one!)...so done with 12.5kg...fail
- dumbbell postman curls...2x10...9kg up from 8kg...done but hard
- back extensions...2x15...17.5kg...no change in weight
a very solid session....
after work is the club's jumper presentation...we don't actually get a jumper but it's basically an introduction of each team (men as well) to the rest of club...
