AC joint sprain

last night's training session went well although I didn't do much overhead stuff...my ankle is getting better...

this morning I had physio so got two body parts dealt with...

he diagnosed an AC joint sprain...after some treatment he showed me how to strap it to train and play for the rest of the season (only two more games)...

no gym for the next couple of weeks as it revolves around shoulder/arm work but I can do theraband exercises...probably do me good to take a break from the gym (back into it on 29 August after my Brisbane holiday)...

went for a run at lunch and although the pace was good for me the jarring in the shoulder was a bit annoying...just as well I'm not doing C2S this weekend as the jarring and the potential for bumps would be frustrating...bumping in footy is not the same as you can prepare to some extent for that!

the stats:
start temp/humidity: 12.4/43%
start time: 1:09pm
total distance: 9.11
total time: 50:00
avg pace: 5:30
total calories: 410

tonight Suze and I are doing a golf rules session for our club...it was originally only meant to be for the women but they opened it up to the whole membership so some of the men will be there as well as a bunch of juniors...

actually Suze will be doing the presenting as I'm hopeless at that and I'm the administrative backup...we've got a bit of a reputation for being the rules police and it has lead to people choosing not to play with us!

golf's one of those games where the players are expected to enforce the rules on themselves...when I first started I probably broke just about every rule you could and penalised myself accordingly...I subsequently become an club accredited rules official before becoming a state accredited one...dad always said you should know the rules/laws of the game you were playing and the best way to do that is to do the courses to become an official...
