Weekend wrap

yesterday we played last season's premiers - we won the first quarter but lost the other three (in fact, not scoring a point in those three quarters)...

today was the vets monthly handicap at Blewitts Pines...I chose this one to be rostered on as a volunteer (not my favourite course!) and persuaded Jodie to do the same...we were assigned to the recording tables so checked people in and took their entry fee on arrival and then recorded the results as they crossed the line...

Jodie drove home while I ran from Blewitts to Lake Ginninderra to meet Jodie with Hux (dropped off by Suze) to walk back towards the basketball stadium in Belconnen where Suze was coaching her Radford boys...

I ran through Stromlo Forest Park, Deeks Pines, the arboretum, past the Cork Oak Plantation and then up Bindubi St through to the lake...

the stats:
start temp/humidity: 10.8/66% (finishing temp/humidity: 12.5/58%)
start time: 10:42am
total distance: 17.20
total time: 1:45:00
avg pace: 6:06
total calories: 816
avg HR*: 151

*Time spent in HR Zones:
00:14 [Z1: 93-111]
00:18 [Z2: 111-130]
37:41 [Z3: 130-148]
62:09 [Z4: 148-167]
07:39 [Z5: 167-185]

later in the afternoon we headed into Mulligans Flat to do some caching...we had done two before being caught in a downpour so did two more before heading back to the car by which time we were all completely soaked!

so quite a bit of time on my feet today and a few changes of clothes!

Nice long run on Sunday. What would have been the peak near the end of the course? great training for the Vets half??? Carlton had a great come from behind win, why can't the Jets do that? Collingwoods first lose for a while next weekend coming up. Go Blues.Revenge will be sweet.

that peak would have been running up William Hovell and Bindubi St...

no vets half for me as that's the elimination final day for us...

Jets don't have any real firepower up front...

Blues no chance, go the 'pies!
