I decided to forgo the 3000m as it was a handicap one despite being listed as part of the Moore series so went hard in the 1500m and managed a season's best of 6:02.53 in finishing 8th in the second heat, just 1.26 outside my PB set in January 2008...
splits: 1:10, 1:40, 1:41, 1:32
cheered on the runners in the Pennington (won by Bruce G) then lined up for the medley relay with Angel (200m), Nadine (200m), Emma (400m) and me doing the 800m...we finished 4th out of 5 teams but it was good to watch Vanessa chase down Jim W after starting from behind me in the last leg...

Season's bests are always good. You're very close to a PB and breaking 6! Going harder in the third lap (forgetting about the last lap) might make the difference.
Jim W wouldn't have liked that! Hope he hasn't got a sore neck from looking back.
Yeah, I reckon I need to go hard (as in last lap hard) with 1.5 laps to go! He did look back a couple of times and I did expect him to chase me down...
