yesterday started with the Stromlo Stomp for the ACT Vets Mountain Running Champs and finished with me arriving back home from Sydney at 2am this morning...follow the link for the report & results...60 entrants (59 finishers when 1 took a wrong turn) - 39 men/20 women...
conditions were spot on for the Stomp...my goal was to run all the way and I achieved that...it was quite steep & rocky in some parts but a good course, especially the downhill finish!
was aiming for 6:00 pace so quite pleased to finish in 63:43 for the 10.5k course...only 3 competitors in the W35 category - unfortunately the other 2 were Angela Bateup (1st woman/5th overall - 45:17) and Fleur Flannery (3rd woman/7th overall - 45:43)..!!

watched some of the Aussie Cross-Country trials...good to see Marty win over Michael Shelley in the open men...Jackie F also finished 6th in the open women...
the cricket was good although the Aussies still made some dumb mistakes in the field...I hope McCullum's shoulder is OK and that he can play out the series - he still hit some fantastic shots virtually one-handed...!
