spent the day at Manuka doing the online scoring for the PM's XI v New Zealand...an entertaining game which ended up with the PM's XI winning by 6 wickets with 13 balls to spare...
I wasn't sitting with the scorers, rather the level above with the media who were always asking me for details...
confirmed all the details with the official scorers by 5:30pm then rushed off for track, wondering the whether I'd make it or not for the first event...
first up was the 4 Lap Spiral...arrived just was Group 31 was heading off, lucky I was in Group 41, just 10secs behind Rachelle in Group 40...ended up 11th in a net time of 6:50 which is a PB of 4 seconds...
had 3 members for a W35 4 x 1500m relay team but couldn't find a 4th (not that we were looking that hard) so enjoyed watching the 6 teams that were running...the W40s (Sarah F, Jane Z, Amanda W & Jackie F) set a new Australia record in 21:XX..the old record was 23:05.23 (2007) held by the speedygeese Helen L, Charlie Mc, Kelley F & Katie F...the M70s also set a record going under 28:00...
last event was the 3000m...finished 13th in a PB of 13:09.68, just beating my old PB by 0.32 and a season's best by 2.81...

Considering the mad dogs and Englishmen warm-up you did well to PB in the spiral. Nice splits for the 3 - the heat was worth about 9.69 seconds.
