10000m PB!

after the cricket went down to the last ball at 5:30pm, it took awhile to finalise details with the official scorers...

I headed after to Deakin to watch the Jet girls play touch footy until halftime before heading to the AIS...

arrived with about 15mins to spare, organised my lap sheet and then got Geoff B to cover me until Jodie arrived...

I thought the conditions were actually quite pleasant but that's probably a product of being at the cricket in high temps for the last 4 days!

started right on 8pm and Jodie arrived just as I was moving through 1.5 laps...

aimed to keep a steady pace and was surprised to reel in Aki with about 10 laps or so to go but I was even more surprised to see (when I got home) that I'd smashed my old track PB by about 96 secs!

the stats:
start temp/humidity: 23.3/48%
start time: 8:00pm
total distance: 10.00
total time: 46:20
avg pace: 4:38

in particular, I must thank SG, Rachelle, Geoff B and (of course) Jodie for their support...

I enjoyed tonight even though I got lapped plenty of times by the speedy people...it was good to cheer on Bruce, Stuart, Jackie, Vanessa, Sarah and Trevor each time they went by! (that's lots of cheering!)
