met up with speedygeoff at about 5:45pm for this session...quite warm and very windy...
we did 2 x 2k warm up laps then got stuck into it...I managed 24:09 for the tempo section which was a bit quicker than I should have gone...we then did 1 x 2.5k warm down lap (I was really hoping it would just be 2k but he added the 500m loop)...
the stats:
start temp/humidity: 21/40%
start time: warm up 5:47pm, tempo 6:23pm, warm down 6:50pm
total running distance: 11.5k
total running time: 64:18
total calories: 920
avg HR: warm up 126, tempo 162, warm down 146
tempo splits: 4:34, 4:50, 5:07, 4:54, 4:44
need to work on pacing as usual (that's a given really!) but it didn't feel too uncomfortable...certainly faster than I would ordinarily train so that IS a good thing...

How come it was quicker than you should have gone? Was it at race effort rather than tempo effort, or was it faster than expected?
Your 600s on Monday were good!
Faster than I expected...was meant to be aiming for somewhere between 25:00-26:00
