although we returned to the usual course, the conditions were less than ideal - hot, dry and windy (averaging mid 40s kph with gusts up to mid 60s!)...
anyway Jodie made a return as well with her first Customs run since February...30:04 was a very good result for her...
I was disappointed with my time but at least I got out there...Pam M started a further 15secs back from me (to a minute behind me) and passed me around the 3k mark...did manage to muster a sprint in the last 100m to challenge Peter C

MTB-Orienteering National League Rd 3 / ACT Championships:
tomorrow's event is at Sparrow Hill (part of Kowen forest off the King's Highway beyond Queanveyan)...this one is the sprint one and I'm "competing" in the W21E category (there's 5 other competitors with only 1 other from ACT so I'm assured 2nd IF I find all the controls and finish!!)...7.2k with 7 controls to collect...a 2:10pm start for me (competitors go off at 2min intervals)...
Sunday's event is at Kowen East and is the long distance event...Jodie and I are competing as a pair on the non-championship Open C course...7k with 6 controls to collect...a 10:48am statr (competitors go off at 4min intervals...
in each case you only get the map 1min before you start!
we requested a late start on Sunday seeing as I'm doing the Ben Donohoe 6k Fun Run...hopefully I'll finish that in under 30mins so we can get to Kowen East with about 20mins or so to spare...
