today was the start of the Meteors pre-season fitness training...6:30am start at Manuka Oval...I was running late (forgot to allow for ice removal from the windscreen!) & arrived after they'd headed off...
we ran down to Telopea Park High and did shuttles on one of their netball courts...mixed in with squats (normal, wide), situps (normal, wide, diamond), pushups (normal, side crunches, twist crunches), lunges and star jumps...then we did some "trackwork"...8secs on/ 12secs off for 5mins (it was a bit bumpy & slippery!)...ran back to the oval and finished with the usual stretching...
had a late night last night as I'm working on the Olympics for an online scoring group...basically I entered various results from 6:30pm until 2:30am!!...
the sports I covered were boxing, archery, swimming, rowing, sailing, tennis, volleyball, beach volleyball, hockey and softball...there was barely a moment to rest!..it's pretty interesting stuff and I'm doing the same again tonight from 7pm...
no plans to run today after this morning's session...my left leg is still bugging me so I'll make this week a recovery week...
we've got our semi-final this weekend against Belconnen, the team we have drawn with in our last two encounters...the winner goes straight through to the Div 2 GF while the loser plays the winner of ADFA/ANU...
I think we will be on the losing side though as we will be missing several key players...
