More rain...

and bigger puddles to run through which is exactly what we did at Customs today...

due to the conditions it was agreed that runners could leave early and not hang around in the cold conditions...Jodie started on 4:15 (instead of 6:45) and i started on 12:00 (instead of 14:30)...

Flash Duck held the clock and was suitably rugged up against the weather although i still don't think she should have been out there!

the stats:
start temp/humidity: 6.6/95%
start time: 12:30pm
total distance: 5.0
total time: 22:24
avg pace: 4:29
total calories: 373
avg HR: 171
finish temp/humidity: 6.7/94%

1k splits: 4:12, 4:30, 4:31, 4:33, 4:36

according to weatherzone.com.au the combined "heat" (!) index and wind chill factor made it feel like 3.9!...brrr...

FD now has the job of sorting out what our correct finishing positions would have been so that the pointscore can be calculated correctly...we still managed to have 20 runners...

Jodie's run of sub 30:00s ended with a 30:40 but she really didn't want to be out there so did well to tough it out...

i've just spent the last hour watching our fire panel at work due to a fault which had the firies in just as i was about to have lunch (1:45pm)...it went off again just as they were leaving so it was decided that we'd leave the panel in manual until the techie got here...it was just as well because it would have gone off again at 2:30 with the same fault...so exciting not!...lucky i could come back up and grab my lunch at the paper to while away my time...

tonight Jodie & i are going to the Oakley sale at the showground after work then:
  • saturday - easy 40mins + golf + night O @ Mt Ainslie (Kellaway St, Hackett - i'm the organiser for this one)
  • sunday - easy 120mins + assisting at O @ Goorooyarroo + possibly acting as basketball stats dude for suze's school team

I used to love running through the puddles.

I also loved breaking the Ice on the top of the puddles.

I still do it, and still love the Ice breaking.

Congrats on getting tickets to the cricket. I can't remember such interest for a series so far in advance. It is going to be a cracker and I can't wait. Personally, I think we will be too good for the poms.
