OK, finally everything is done (except for the umpteen boxes i have in my room to unpack)...
so this is definitely a catch up entry...
Wednesday night
attended at the AIS Arena to see the Australian women's basketball team, the Opals, defeat the USA!...it was a great match but a shame it wasn't a sell-out...
Thursday
day off work...did my scheduled run in the morning, around Yerrabi pond...
10min warm up
light stretching
6 x 80m sprints
15 x 30sec on / 30sec jog recovery
10min warm down
the stats:
total distance: 7.42k
total time: 48:12
avg HR: 139
spent rest of the morning & early afternoon packing boxes then picked up the 3 tonne truck at 3:30pm...first stop to pick up my new bedroom furniture & deliver it to the new address...
then our first load was all the outside stuff, once that was delivered it was a long drive to Theodore to deliver and assemble my old bed (a loft bed which wasn't practical in the new house due to ceiling fans!)...the drive was a good 50mins each way plus 2hrs to re-assemble the bed...jodie & make a good team and i only got clobbered twice by falling bed rails!
back home to the old place by 11:15pm...
Friday
no Customs run due to Good Friday...but i think today counts as my entire weights work for the year!
we made about 3-4 truck runs, moving all the heavy bits...we had a whole bunch of helpers - my parents, jodie's mum & brother plus the alarm guy (a mate of jodie's brother) who helped out after installing the alarm...
Saturday
easy 40mins scheduled & completed around the pond...
the stats:
total distance: 7.15k
total time: 40:05
avg pace: 5:36
avg HR: 136
made another 2 very full truck runs to complete the main stuff...truck returned by 3:30pm...this saw the start of the unpacking of boxes...
Sunday
10k time trial scheduled...didn't really feel up to it but surprised myself by running my 2nd fastest 10k ever!
the stats:
total distance: 10.01k
total time: 46:21 (46:19 for 10k)
avg pace: 4:38 (for 10k)
avg HR: 161
the rest of sunday was spent buying bits & pieces for the new house...
Monday
no run scheduled as it was a rest day! (thank goodness)
it was the parentals on deck again with us as we set about cleaning up the "old" house...we started at 10:30am and worked through until about 2:00pm...then i was back to unpacking boxes after a nice late lunch while jodie & suze picked up a few odds & ends from the "old" place...
5pm the buyers came over for a last check of the premises and thankfully it passed muster!
Tuesday
up early awaiting the Fox technician who was to arrive anywhere between 7am-12pm (it turned out to be 11am)...meanwhile the Billiard House guys delivered our new pool/snooker table at 9:30am - we sat/stood around & watched as they put it all together in 30mins...it was great to watch & they were happy to have a chat and tell us about some horror installations...
the Fox guy finished just after 12pm which gave me enough time to get to the Black Mountain Run Up...it was quite warm and windy out & i obviously didn't do my usual warm up run from work...after the weekend i had had i was just hoping to go sub 20:00...
the stats (UP):
total distance: 2.55k
total time: 19:21
avg pace: 7:35
avg HR: 167
the stats (DOWN):
total distance: 2.55k
total time: 16:23
avg pace: 6:26
avg HR: 135
quite happy with that & spent most of the run down chatting to Anthony Scott...
back home to do some MORE unpacking and deal with various phone calls (for fence quotes) & the electrician (coming back Monday)...
finally, we had been conned into playing indoor cricket for the real estate agents at Lyneham at 8:10pm (they knew we had played after touring our house and were really keen to have us, so much so that we didn't have to pay)...we had great fun - the team had a big win, just about everything we tried worked and now they want us to play full-time (don't know about that though)...
the others have hit the sack and i have to find my bed before i do the same - i'm sure it's in there somewhere...
however, it will be back to normal programming tomorrow!
