Look out Gold Coast...

i'm a little behind in my running program update as today is the 3rd day of week 11 (of 14) for the Canberra Half on Sunday 14 May...so...

This week's schedule:
Monday - rest (gladly taken!)
Tuesday - Black Mountain Run Up instead of an "easy" 50mins
Wednesday - "easy" 60min
Thursday - speed: 2x10min*/1minSR
(*turning around at 5min, aiming to finish past start)

Friday - Customs
Saturday - "easy" 40mins
Sunday - "easy" 120mins

*****************************************

i don't know whether all the lifting over the past 5 days has finally caught up with me or whether last night's game of indoor was harder than i thought but it was definitely hard work, despite the scheduled "easy" run...

the stats:
start temp/humidity: 21.3/35%
start time: 1:39pm
total distance: 10.57k
total time: 1:00:01
avg pace: 5:40
total calories: 844
avg HR: 141
finish temp/humidity: 22.1/33%

*****************************************

this entry's title refers to the fact that i have organised everything to go to the Gold Coast...there's no turning back now...

flights
accommodation
transfers
race entry...for the half marathon, of course...

i'm flying up the saturday afternoon/evening and returning monday morning...

The Gold Coast should be a great event for you.

2 hours this Sunday sounds like an easy run.

AR, another great thing about the half is you get to see the 10k runners start and the marathoners finish!

Oh, the non-Canberra weather is easy to take too.
