Another 60+k week (just)...

total ks for the week = 60.1

saturday - "easy" 40mins

the stats:
start time: 8:23am
total distance: 7.54k
total time: 40:00
avg pace: 5:18
total calories: 660
avg HR: 153

a cold start to the day but it turned into a nice one...

played golf for the first time in 7 weeks and played accordingly!...not as bad as it could have been though...

left straight after golf (at 3.40pm) to head to sydney for my club's presentation at Chatswood RSL, got there at 7.15pm....they actually waited for me...a good night was had by all...left at 10.30pm to head home, arriving at 2am...thank goodness i got the extra hours sleep due to daylight savings ending...

sunday - "easy" 120mins

the stats:
start time: 8:29m
total distance: 21.52k
total time: 2:00:01
avg pace: 5:34
total calories: 1988
avg HR: 150

very happy with this run, my longest distance-wise ever...even managed to keep all my k splits below 6:00 for the first time, including the 3 big hills...

had time for a quick shower before heading out to Federal golf course to watch my club, lead by Suze, play in the Brindabella Shield final against Yowani...4 of the 5 matches went to the 18th...Suze, in the number 1 pairing, won her match 2up after having to give 9 shots...it came down to the last match which we lost 1 down...this is the second year in a row the club has finished runner up so it's third time lucky next year for sure...

today's is the start of week 9 (of 14) for the Canberra Half on Sunday 14 May...

i have been allocated my role for the Canberra Marathon - I am Marshall 41 which doubles as Marshall 7 for the Plus 5 course & i will be located at Commonwealth Ave bridge south...hopefully i won't direct participants the wrong way (just kidding)...seriously, we have a training session on thursday night so i definitely will know which way to send everyone, it's all very organised...

See you out on the Plus 5 course AR (I'm 'spectating').

You'd better not direct anybody the wrong way!!! ;-)

The Marshalls at Canberra have a huge reputation of being Very runner friendly.

And there'll be lots of Cool Runners around.
