obviously running twice in the one day agreed with my body but, AGAIN, it wasn't me that SMASHED their Customs PB - Jodie ran an awesome 1 minute quicker than last week!...her PB is now 28:56 (her very first Customs run took 35:15 in June last year)...i think she finished in the top (eligible) 2 or 3 for the day as well…
I, on the other hand, have to be content with merely running my second fastest time!...got to the turn in 11:11 (!) and held it together reasonably well to finish in 11:25 for a total of 22:36 (only 4 seconds outside my PB)...relative new girl (Georgie) started off the same handicap but seemed content to sit behind me although she nearly drew level as we approached the turn (saying something about me being hard to catch – my reply was I always go slower in the second half)...in the end she finished in 22:47 (saying at the finish that the elastic band broke!)...
FlashDuck went early while FlashDrake and Demetrios started together only for Demetrios to blow out at FlashDrake's pace...
speedygeoff caught me before the short hill into the finish but i made up some ground on the hill before he pulled away as i ran steadily home...i think if i wasn't worried about my glute i may well have been able to set a new PB myself with a "go for glory" finish!
the stats:

i was very happy with this run as i was just aiming to go sub 24:00 given my morning effort...obviously i couldn't keep my competitive streak out of it!
schedule for the weekend:
saturday - easy 80mins + umpiring (1st grade @ Majura 11am start)
sunday - cricket (v Universities @ Sydney Uni): supersub Jodie is filling in again (i've bribed her with the thought of finding a couple of geocaches on the way to the ground!)

Awesome time for both of you. Who was in labor? Those tourists need something to look at anyway! :)
