Saturday i head off early to get to North Sydney to watch the second final of the Women's National Cricket League...
on the way I took this photo of sunrise with my phone

NSW had won the first final quite easily but QLD turned the tables on saturday to set up a thrilling decider...unfortunately that meant all first grade sides were affected, having to cover the loss of their state players for yet another match...
the official lunch on saturday was good to catch up with past players and we all had a good time even if NSW didn't win...i was staying just across the road from the ground so i had dinner with most of the NSW parents and supporters at the pub (that meant i only had to stagger (!) a little way to my bed)...
yesterday morning i did some geocaching in the nearby parks before watching the first half hour of the third final...i had to head off to my club game with the match starting to swing in QLD's favour...
we managed to get updates throughout the day at our match (which we surprisingly won!) and were amazed to hear that NSW had won by 2 runs after being all out for 146...in the end QLD lost their last three wickets for 1 run to choke big time...
our one rep player played a big role in the match taking her first wickets for NSW (4/29) and scoring an unbeaten 12 off 13 as well as taking two catches...the NSW players got to spend the rest of the night in the Cricket NSW corporate box at the SCG....
it was a very long day for me as i didn't get home until after 11pm...
oh, we had a 15yr old debutant in first grade who bought along her 11-week old puppy "Boags" (yes, after the beer!) who was so cute (but not as cute as Huxley!) that i just had to take a photo:
