yesterday's ride home felt hard due to the wind but i actually did an OK time...
the stats:
start temp/humidity: 23.8/46%
start time: 5:22pm
total distance: 15.35 (BC 15.68)
total time: 44:45 (43:21 without stoppages)
avg speed: 20.6
total calories: 405
avg HR: 127
finish temp/humidity: 23.3/33%
had a nice dinner out at Belucci's in Dickson for mum's birthday...i went the whole hog and ate a three course meal (Calamari Fritti followed by Pollo al Porto followed by Wild Berry Compote) while everyone else just had mains and shared desserts!...
now the title for this post doesn't relate to me but jodie who finally broke the 30:00 barrier after giving it a few nudges in the past...today she ran 29:58!! woo hoo!!...plus she's just started pre-season training for aussie rules and is finding it easier to do the trainings for that too (she has quite a few years over most of her teammates having only taken up the game in recent years)...seeing as she blames me for making her run, i'm more than happy to take the credit for the improvements!
i, on the other hand, "only" did my 3rd fastest time for Customs...
the stats:
start temp/humidity: 19.7/35%
start time: 12:30pm
total distance: 5.03k
total time: 22:45
avg pace: 4:31
total calories: 415
avg HR: 169
finish temp/humidity: 20.2/33%
the weather was almost perfect...alas, i couldn't beat Demetrios again (he is now running 22:00 or quicker) but he didn't pass me until about 3.5k and then he didn't get more than a couple of hundred metres ahead so that's an improvement...i felt quite comfortable over this run so maybe breaking 22:30 will happen sooner rather than later...must be the more focused HM training starting to kick in...
Adrienne was back running - she started off the same time as me (13:30) but i'm not sure what time she did (my usual fast start saw me shake her early)...Mike started 15secs ahead and i only caught him within 100m or so of the finish...FlashDuck went off early to hold the clock...Aki didn't run due to her injury...speedygeoff passed me just before the short uphill into the finish and did sub 20:00 a PB for the course)...
tonight i have to start "de-cluttering" my room in preparation for the sale of the house...
tomorrow, i have an easy 50min run to finish week 1 of my HM training then golf then more "de-cluttering"...
sunday i have cricket as usual...

Good to see your still hard at it Allrounder. Now where do you get all that energy from ?
Adrienne did 24:00 after a long competitive lay off during the holidays.
Great conditions, and I'm stoked about Jodie's RUN. The only way is up!
GO JODIE!!!
And go you, too, sub 23 is enormous.
Calamarri Fritti - one of my favourites, Allrounder! Your 3rd fastest time for 'Customs'...great guns!
That's a good trick - I was getting excited for you. Anyway... go Jodie!
You can't beat the Calamari at the 'Olympus' in Vancouver.
