firstly, yesterday's ride home was slow...a headwind yet again - makes me feel like i am going backwards...
the stats:
start temp/humidity: 27.4/43%
start time: 5:43pm
total distance: 15.34 (BC 15.67)
total time: 47:11 (44:51 without stoppages)
avg speed: 19.6
total calories: 403
avg HR: 122
finish temp/humidity: 25.7/50%
got to sleep in a little this morning as i had to hang around for the valuer from our buyers' bank and then i had to drop our signed contract into our solicitor in Braddon...luckily the valuer was early and i managed to catch the 9.15am bus so i was at work by 10:10am...
the conditions for Customs were almost ideal and again it was jodie's PB (by 2secs) not mine!...she started off 6:30 and managed to pip me by one second at the finish, she's running much stronger now and her recovery is much quicker...although she still reckons it feels like sticking a fork in her stomach for 30mins!...
Aki started 0:30 ahead of me this week and i probably made up about 10secs or so by the finish so she must have run a decent time as i managed another sub 23:00 run (just)...
FlashDuck looked like she was doing OK but Demetrios continues to run well and passed me at about the 3.5k mark...
the stats:
start temp/humidity: 25.9/48%
start time: 12:29pm
total distance: 5.08
total time: 22:57
avg pace: 4:31
total calories: 411
avg HR: 168
finish temp/humidity: 26.9/44%
interestingly i looked at my watch at the turn & realised at the finish that i had run a much more consistent race (11:29/11:28)...my 1k splits were also reasonably consistent - 4:24/4:39/4:30/4:31/4:35....
saw Trevor Jacobs on the run not long after the turn around whereupon he turned and ran with me for a bit, asking if i was doing the Paddy Pallin rogaine on 5 March (my response: "no, i still had cricket") and then, as he turned back to continue his run, he said "6 foot" next year (my response: "no way (laugh), that's way too far!")...bizarre...
jodie has also said she's going to run the Canberra Marathon Eve 5k which is on at the same time as the 10k so that should be fun...
what's left to do this week?
tonight - who knows?!
Saturday - easy 60min + umpiring (day 2 of 1st grade match @ ANU North)
Sunday - cricket
i'm just looking at the next 2 weekends - i still have cricket but i'm meant to be doing easy runs on Sat/Sun of 40mins/80mins & 40mins/90mins...i'm not sure how i'm going to work those in...

That's a good even run and another sub-23. Well done. Good 4min intervals too.
Trevor must be trying to recruit you for his '2007 army'. 6ft is not that bad if you think of it as just a 6-7 hour jog/bush walk.
6' isn't beyond your reach if you want it.For me it is my number one running priority for next year.Fancy having a chat with a legend like Mr Jacobs!Thats a good sign go with it!
Ps congrats with your run and even splits thats hard to do!
