Hamstrung...

this post is to catch up on the weekend and to look at the week ahead...

saturday
did my scheduled easy 60mins...used the Virtual Partner setting on my Garmin for the first time, aiming to run 5:40 pace (10.59k) and probably would have managed that if i hadn't included Aki's Hill...finished about 160m behind VP...

the stats:
start time: 7:24am
total distance: 10.43k
total time: 1:00:04
avg pace: 5:45
total calories: 975
avg HR: 143

my 1k splits ranged between 5:31-5:52 except for the split that covered Aki's Hill (6:13)...quite an enjoyable run, i made up the route as i went along and even ran past our new house to see if the "sold" sticker was up yet (no)...

my umpiring was over by 3.30pm as ANU secured an outright win over Queanbeyan...no further controversy following last week but i will be required to appear at the disciplinary hearing later this week as we reported a player...

managed to see one of the ladies from golf carrying the Queen's Baton up College Street (i was in the car going the other way but managed to give a cheer)...she's a decorated police officer (the reason why she was nominated to carry) and it was cool to see her...

caught up with jodie at CISAC (she'd been doing a gym session) and then spent the evening at home - watched a DVD called "Mindhunter", was quite good if a little gory...

sunday
two wins in a row! that makes 3 in 4 matches and moves us off the bottom of the table (woo hoo)...managed to live up to my allrounder status and a good game was had by all with an early finish so home by about 9.45pm...only 2 more rounds to go...however did manage to strain my left hammy/glute (by playing a super aggressive sweep shot and then taking off quickly for two runs)...hopefully it'll be OK - i iced it between innings, wore my skins home as usual and then iced it again after i got home last night...

so to this week, today is the start of week 4 (of 14) for the Canberra Half on Sunday 14 May...

This week's schedule:
Monday - rest (!)
