as planned, i made it to today's Customs event which also happened to be the first pointscoring event in the new series...
jodie was there as well as suze with huxley...while jodie & i ran, suze & huxley located a geocache in the Marsh Gardens before watching the runners finish...
kind of weird weather, it was quite cool to start but then it was warm in patches and very humid by the end...
jodie was off 6:15 while i was still on 13:30...i tried to catch her but could only make up 6:51 (i need to get back into some interval work)...
Aki was off 11:45 while FlashDuck was off 13:00...i think i made up some ground on FD but it was tough work...
the stats:
start time: 12:29pm
total distance: 4.94 (i swear i didn't take any shortcuts unlike another runner did)
total time: 23:11
avg pace: 4:42
total calories: 429
avg HR: 169
i was quite sluggish in the middle k but happy with the time...
then it was off home to settle the boy before heading out to take my dad on a geocaching adventure or two...jodie lent dad her Garmin so he could follow where we had to go...we did a multi-cache one in macgregor then a traditional cache on Mt Rogers...a multi-cache involves going to a location or locations to solve clues to the figure out the final coordinates while a traditional cache means you can go "directly" to the location...
we were successful with both caches and i think dad enjoyed himself...
watched the cricket to see Australia thoroughly outplay the Sri Lankans - it looks like it might be a long hard series for them...
i'm just about all set for my weekend "away" as i won't be returning home until late sunday night after i leave for umpiring in the morning...

Yes.
That was another good run AR. I know it was the garmin that took the shortcut (they get tired easily).
If I had time I'd try that geocaching - sounds interesting.
