Par...

a pretty lazy day for me...!

Monday

I'm on leave for two weeks so moved my gym session back to a much nicer 8:30am start...rode to & from the gym for the first time in months...

Day 1 (chest/shoulders/triceps/abs)...changes:

  • bb bench press - 40kg, managed 2x8 for the first time
  • bb eccentric bench press - made sure the weight was right this time (!), 55kg, 1x8
  • cable crossevers - weight increased to 9kg, 2x10
  • db shoulder press - weight increased to 10kg, 2x10/1x9
  • db seated overhead tricep extension - weight increased to 15kg, 2x10

played a social round of golf in lovely weather...had 89 off the stick after starting with triple bogey, double bogey, double bogey!...birdied 14 & 16...

it was pretty cold at footy training but we had a pretty good session once our hands warmed up...

today

did a hill session using a short but steep hill (~110m) in Franklin...

then it was off to golf to play in a 3 ball best ball versus par comp...unfortunately our 3rd team member pulled out so it was left to Suze and I to play as a two...

in this form of competition, we each play our own ball but only the best score for the team counts against par...the idea is that, including your handicap, if you score better than par you score a "+", even with par you score a "0" and worse than your handicap you score a "-"...

I started pretty poorly and Suze had to carry the team but I finally got going on the back nine and we ended up with +8 to finish 2nd...
