had my pacer today (sans backpack but with his cool glasses that he'll be wearing for the Marathon des Sables)...he ran just ahead of me, encouraging me to keep the pace up...he's doing the the Capital Summer Fest half marathon tomorrow with his backpack on...

That bodes well for a good half marathon. Well done. Good luck to both you and Jodie for your Maui runs. I know you will run well and have fun. Have a fantastic trip.
Have fun in Maui. Tim is doing Marathon des Sables?! Anyway, for a hot day 23:36 is good running - esp after the 3000 last night.
