Track Meet #5 2010/11

was late leaving work and then there was roadwork and general traffic to deal with...managed to get my running shirt and injinji socks on while driving (stopped at traffic lights of course!)...made it to the track with minutes to spare...

6:01pm 3000m 13:16.12 (14th/field of XX), 19/37
splits: 0:51, 1:44, 1:46, 1:48, 1:50, 1:49 1:50, 1:37
1k splits: 4:21, 4:32, 4:22

8:12pm Adler 6 Lap Spiral 10:35.54 (10:36), PB by 7 seconds...

started off Group 35 (7:25), 90secs behind my target Ruth who started in Group 28 (5:55)...Rachelle was also in my group and served as a good pacer!

Brett, Nadine and SG all started in Group 38, 40secs behind me...Ruth wore a blue top which blended in more than her usual bright tops but I could still see her...in finishing 6th, I managed to catch her with with about 500m to go and also stayed ahead of Nadine and Brett...

my rate was deemed "fast" so I've moved back a group to 36...Nadine remains in 38 while Brett & SG were deemed "slow" (!) and have come in to 37...Helen finished between me & Nadine and remains in 36...Ruth was also deemed "slow" and has come into 27 - she may prove a difficult target to catch in the 7 Lap in a fortnight!
