Cricket, racing, baseball...

yesterday was Day 1 of the Futures League (the level below Sheffield Shield) match between the ACT Comets and the Queensland Academy of Sport...

the start was delayed until 11:30am with play extended through until 6pm...there were a couple of rain delays throughout the day, one of which coincided nicely with the running of The Cup...

most of the cricketers gathered where the scorers sit and watched the race with us...I tipped the quinella so actually made some money on race day for a change!

this morning I got up early to run...

then it was back to Manuka for Day 2 of the game...time was added for make up for some of that lost yesterday so we didn't finish until 6:14pm...

I made it to baseball training in time for the last 40 minutes so got to do some out fielding and batting...

to round out the night I watched Sri Lanka's remarkable comeback with the bat to win the first ODI...I sincerely hope Smith was injured as Clarke only gave him three overs, yet all his quicks got smacked around...

I'm not sure if the cricket will run over time tomorrow as we still have some time to make up so I'm going to run early again just in case I don't make it to the 3000m at 6pm...
