almost ideal running conditions in that there wasn't much wind at all for a change...this run involved a loop around Lennox Gardens and a loop around Central Basin with Commonwealth Ave bridge being crossed three times and Kings Ave bridge once...

Very good.
Now to monitor the effect of these runs - you should be able to recover fully in 24 hours or so.
So if these leave you feeling a little flat or take a couple of days to recover from, 5:40s or 5:45s will do!!!!
OK, please explain kilometres 2 and 9! Also the second last k of your 8k run today... are you suffering from wheelfalloffitis as you get near the end of your runs?
