I thought I was actually quicker than my first ever half in September '05 but I was 31-46 secs slower (by my watch I was 31secs slower, by the net time from Sydney which was wrong I was 46secs slower)...BUT the difference though was far greater than that in a much more positive way today...that first half was a hard slog all the way whereas today really was a long training run despite it being my longest run since surgery...no problems with the heel which is all very good...I put in my usual spurt with speedygeoff holding back from racing me to the finish!...other speedygeese did well - Charlie won her age group, Griffen came 3rd in his....
I've had a shower and have my skins on with ice on my heel...cricket training will be an even more interesting challenge today!
(before I forget, yesterday's golf went well as I actually managed to play to my handicap; after that I spent 3 hours - 4:30-7:30pm - helping change the field at Manuka from an AFL to rugby set up, mainly helping with setting up the sponsor signage along the far touch line and behind the in-goal areas)

Geoff said he was racing you to the finish, but you were too fast.
Don't push Speedygeoff too hard on Thursday - he was a little worse for wear at PH tonight.
