87th out of 326...64.47%...15th female out of 144...3rd W50-54 out of 21...just a cruisey run - the HHT wasn't as angry so happy to be over a minute faster than my last run...
cricket was at Kaleen against Canberra City...I won the toss and batted first again as we rattled up 3/230 to earn our first batting bonus point of the season...in reply we dismissed them for 67...
yesterday was an easy day as I was bit sore from throwing myself around in the field...replaced a cache for Suze, visited Jodie & Lisa, called apst mum & dad's tehn back home in time to see the end of the Hurricane's match v the Strikers...
this morning...walked the boys before getting a lift in to Lennox Gardens...and then it turned into an eventful morning...
Tammie was dropping me off near Lennox Gardens behind the Hyatt to scooter in to work (and then on to Manuka for the cricket afterwards) and we were among the first on scene to a cyclist v parked car collision which happened behind us as we were pulling in to park...while a fellow cyclist (5 in all stopped) tended to his injuries, I called the ambos and Tammie called the police...
he'd had his head down pedalling hard up the incline and drifted smack into the back of the car with his face bearing the brunt of it (he did have a helmet on)...the force was so hard that he snapped the front forks clean in half on what looked like an expensive machine...hopefully he'll recover well...
the car's rear windscreen was completely shattered (his phone which had been in the back pocket of his jersey and his sunnies ended up on the back window shelf) and there was some dented body work as well...
while not the best of circumstances, I was glad to be able to pay forward some of the assistance I received when those motorists stopped to help after the 'roo took me out in 2015...Tammie even dropped his bike back to his house while he was taken to hospital...
