I lost the toss and fielded first...we only had 10 due to a late unavailability in first grade so players had shuffled up to fill in the gap...
we reduced them to 9/65 just after drinks but the last pair added 55 so we had to chase 120...we managed to get that for the loss of only 1 wicket in the 22nd over for a bonus point win...I managed to take 3/15 from my 9 overs and score 42...
after calling in to 4th grade at Hughes (they ended up winning) I headed off to Bowral for the inaugural Over 40s nationals to be played at Bradman Oval...
Jodie had traveled up earlier having organised accommodation at the very swish The Sebel...
the tournament is a T20 format with retirement at 30 (you can return to bat on after everyone else has had a bat if there's still overs left)...
this morning we played against the NSW Waratahs (we are in the NSW Blues)...we batted first and made 2/128...Jodie opened and retired not out for 30 while I batted at 5 retiring not out for 32...
we managed to restrict them to 9/59...I managed a wicket with the first ball of their innings and finished with 2/11 off my 4 overs...I also took part in a run out while Jodie took a catch at cover...
the afternoon game saw the Waratahs play Victoria...the 'tahs batted first making 5/127...Victoria started well but fell short making 3/93...
tomorrow morning we play Victoria with the tah's again playing Victoria...Tuesday we play the 'tahs and Victoria to finish off the tournament...
