Goosebumps...

Saturday night's football was great...Fresno lead 7-0 at quarter time before Hawaii hit back to lead 24-14 at half-time...

the marching band was great at half-time...Fresno hit back in the third quarter to lead 31-24 at three-quarter time...

in a hectic finish the scores were level (31 all) with 6 secs to go with Fresno in position inside Hawaii's half...they kicked a field goal with the last play of the game to win by 3...

Sunday...Jodie, Lisa and I went for a little bike ride using the Biki bike share system...I did a "little" bit of shopping at The Running Room...three pairs of shoes later...must note that they were all discounted (savvy, hey!)...

dinner was at The Yard House and the meals were big...

today Tammie and I went to the Pearl Harbor National Memorial...we caught the bus (just over an hour each way)...

we managed to get tickets for the 9:45am tour for the USS Arizona Memorial...

after that we checked out the information boards and did the Virtual Reality tour of the Arizona where you can walk the deck prior to the attack, witness key stages of the attack and visit the memorial itself...

we met a 97yr old survivor of the attack, Sterling Cale, who went on to serve in Guadcanal, Korea and Vietnam...he wrote a book about his experience - "A True American"...

we had a late lunch after getting back to Waikiki after 2pm...meanwhile Jodie and Lisa were shopping again...
