up early this morning to get ready for the Sutherland2Surf...parked near the start (for free!)...conditions were perfect...
I last ran this event 10 years ago with Jodie as a lead in to Jodie running her first (and only) City2Surf...I managed 52:33 then but this year I was aiming for 60:00....I thought that might be out of reach after yesterday's run...

I spent the first k dodging people who should have started behind me and then had to watch out for those that would move in random directions!
the course is deceptively hilly so I was very happy to go under the hour...
after some photos and drinks, I caught the charter bus ($5 cash) back to the start and then had enough time to go back to my accommodation for a shower before heading home...
stopped twice on the way back and was home just on 2:45pm...
after a late lunch I walked to the oval to practice some chipping before the sun and temperature dropped...
