Massive catch-up...

Friday

we arrived at Clyde River Houseboats at Batemans Bay just after 2pm having stopped in Braidwood for a snack...

once the boat was ready Tammie loaded everything onboard then chatted with the owners while we waited for Jodie and Lisa to arrive...

we were taken out to our night mooring by Rob at about 6:30pm (you must be moored or achored between sunset and sunrise)...we had a BBQ for dinner then settled in to watch the prelim between Richmond and Collingwood...our TV reception was intermittment then we lost it altogether so watch the rest of the game on my iPad via Foxtel Go...

what a cracking game and result, well worth the data cost!!

Saturday

we headed upriver, anchoring near Big Island to fish then headed under Nelligen Bridge at low tide and anchored on the other side...

Tammie, Lisa and Jodie headed to the cafe in the tinnie to grab lunch...

we headed further upriver, anchoring in a couple of spots to fish before settling for the night...

Sunday

we headed downriver...stopping again to fish...

again we did a tinnie run to grab some snacks and bait...this time I went with Tammie and Jodie while Lisa minded the boat...

back under the bridge at low tide then anchoring to fish again...

we moored at one of their markers to fish in a different spot before anchoring near Big Island to fish and stop overnight...

Monday

we headed back towards the boathouse to finish our trip...the steering was off (very slow to react) and it turns out there was an issue...everyone was very impressed that Tammie had got us back to where we needed to be...

we were back home early afternoon to see the fabulous work Jack had done on the deck...only the steps and railings need to be done...

Tuesday

back to work!

Tammie took me to and from work either side of her shift which made for a long day...however it was needed as I had a mountain of emails to get through and then get stuck in to assessing the international airline timetables for the Northern Winter 2018-19 scheduling period...

Wednesday

had physio before work at 8am...Tammie dropped me off at 7:20am and I was planning to sit outside but Gavin, the boss, was there early so let me in to wait for Mitch...

he gave me a calf massage first before I started off with some gentle plantar/dorsi flexion to neutral...he also gave me some foot exercises to do in my boot and exercises for my hip flexors/glutes...

I then made the trek back to work...it took me 23mins to "walk" 700m...that's with seven road crossings!...next physio is Tuesday...

Thursday

another long day...I managed to get out for a "walk" at lunch...

Friday

with Tammie starting her shift at 6am, it was time to try catching the bus...it worked hitch-free even though the driver couldn't lower the bus (the mechanisim was busted)...

at lunchtime, Tammie gave me a lift to FkF...she rang just as I was leaving work to catch the bus down...perfect timing!

it was good to see everyone again and catch up...afterwards I "walked" to the bus stop on the other side of Commonwealth Ave to catch the bus back to work..

Tammie picked me up on the way home from collecting squiggle from Yass...she'd caught the train from Albury to spend the weekend with us...

Saturday

Ricky had posted on the speedygeese page that he was happy to give lifts to Ginninderra parkrun for SG's 100th run so I lined up a lift up with him on Friday...

he picked me up at 7:15am and we arrived with plenty of time, early enough to get a parking spot close to the start/finish...

a big flock of geese were in attendance and I positioned my self about 100m short of the finish to get photos of as many as I could...I think I got everyone...

Cookie and Callum came back to where I was for a chat before we walked back to the finish...

Ricky dropped me back home with a jar of his homemade honey...can't wait to try it, he has won awards at the Canberra Show for it!

Jack was back working on finishing the steps for the deck...

bring on the Grand Final!
