parkrun #114...

Friday was a short work day for me...did the usual dog walk and walk to work from the yacht club...picked up the FkF results & money...then left work at 2pm to pick squiggle up from Gundagai...

it just started to pour as I left Canberra and there was another heavy downpour about halfway...in fact, I nearly had to pull over it was that heavy but then it stopped...

got back in time to watch the first T20...

was raining when I headed to parkrun and rained thorugh the announcements but had eased by the time we got going to a very light rain at most...

helped move furniture around as we were getting an internal (non-load bearing wall) removed before heading to O'Connor for cricket...it wasn't raining when I got there...

we hung about until 1:10pm before the plug was pulled as the opposition didn't want to play so most of the team headed to Dickson to watch the 5s as they were playing...

they dismissed Queanbeyan for 97 and I ended up umpiring for our batting as they got the runs in the 24th over for the loss of only one wicket...

the club had its sponsor appreciation get together at Civic Pub and about 30 of us were there including Tammie and squiggle...it was a nice meal and a good night, topped off by Goodberry's on the way home at squiggle's request as there's no Goodberry's in Albury!

yesterday more work was done on preparing the walls/ceiling for painting following the removal of the wall so Tammie and I loaded rubbish into the skip we had hired...

all that needs doing now is some more sanding and then painting as well placing floor boards where the wall was...

I headed off to the cricket, meeting mum and dad there, while Tammie took squiggle back to Gundagai...she'll be back in December for part of the school holidays...

the cricket was enjoyable although the wrong team won...I'll be back again on Tuesday at an official function, hopefully the Stars can get up to win the T20 series and the Ashes outright...

it was cool for this morning's walk but it should warm up into a nice day...hopefully the breeze will die down for speedygeese...
