parkrun #101, Kiama Coastal Classic #2...

Friday walked the boys in the cold as usual...

walking was the order of the day...went down to FkF early and did the results recording...

yesterday, it was ridiculously cold and foggy for parkrun...

after a quick shower and change I was off to pick up Jodie & Lisa for the trip to Kiama...

we made stops at Grandpa's Shed, Fitzroy Falls..the Cheese Factory, Robertson...the Robertson Pie Shop...

we then head off to our accommodation at Schottlander's Farmstay in Rose Valley Rd just across the highway from Werri Beach/Gerringong...it can sleep up to 8 people (2 x double, 2 x single, 1 x bunk) in 4 rooms...

just as we arrived the owner Gerhard Baden was heading off to feed the cattle and he stopped for a chat and to tell us about the property...230 acres of prime farmland for their current herd of 340 full-blood Wagyu cattle...

our house was literally right in amongst the cattle as we were to find the next morning!

after a break at the house we headed in to Kiama to have dinner at Olive & Vine...it was excellent!

this morning I was up just after 7:30 to have a shower before heading in to Black Beach to pick up my number and shirt...

back via a cache and coffee pick up for Lisa...we headed off to the start just after 10am...

the start was moved further up the street and onto the wide path...the start had been moved from 10am last year to 10:30am but we started even later due to the lead cyclist arriving late...I chatted to Ewen, Dave, Jen and Mhairi...it was a bit warmer than last year and quite windy...
