first round of Foursomes was a bit up and down but it turns out we were better at that than all bar one team to be clubhouse leaders on a countback overnight...

we called in to Jodie & Lisa's on the way home to check out Jodie's new car and their new pergola over their deck...

our second round was not so good as we were 10 shots worse...play was slow due to a big field of social players in front...luckily I had organised earlier in the week for us to play in the first group...being the leaders we would have been due to play in the last group and would have missed our flight to Melbourne!

our flight was on time and Suze and Delanie met us to take us to the airport...Suze had picked up my rego kit on the way to the airport...

I changed into my running gear and then got dropped off with Delanie as she was doing it too...

didn't seem as crowded in the Event Hub this year and the start was well organised into 4 sections - I was in Section 2, Delanie Section 3...

light rain started as we waited and pretty much didn't let up the entire time and got quite heavy after 10k or so...lacking my fitness from last year I was hoping to get to 20k but didn't quite make it getting passed at 19.55k...I managed to accelerate for 100m or so as the Catcher Car got close even though I didn't think I had anything left...I was cold, soaked and sore but it was done...

the buses back to the Hub were organised much better this time as I only had to walk about 1.5k (passing an aid station and getting a drink and a banana) before getting straight on a bus...we waited about 10mins or so to fill up before heading back to the Hub...

Delanie met me as I passed back through the finish - she had managed 8.35k in 62mins which met her goal...Suze and Tammie were back from the Casino to take us to the hotel...back in the room on midnight which was an hour quicker than last year...

had a sleep in this morning before we caught a train into the city...we visited Haigh's before having a late breakfast and doing some caching...

a tram ride back to Southern Cross Station, one more cache and then a visit to Pie Face before heading to the airport on the Skybus...

back home less than 24hrs after we left...phew!
