ARF Half Marathon #3 (road HM #26)...

yesterday morning Hodge and I walked down to parkrun to do a stint of volunteering...we were the boardwalk marshals...

back home just after 10...

after a shower and breakfast I headed out to pick up my race number, get some socks from the Runners Shop and do some cache maintenance for Suze...found three caches (plus one DNF) too before heading home...

up early this morning to feed the furry beasts before heading in for the Half...it had rained before I got up but the sun was shining by the time we started...

Cookie flew past me at about 5.5k...meanwhile I only had three ks below 5min pace...we crossed paths again between 11 & 12 k and at the 17k flag for her (hive fives exchanged)...needless to say she killed it - an 11min PB for 1:45:09...I had predicted she would smash it by at least 10mins so how good is that?!

it started raining before the finish and I didn't quite crack the 1:50 barrier...not my slowest HM time though...
