Jodie, the resident shopaholic, started off slow but gained momentum throughout the day and we had to move our departure time from 3:30pm to 5:40pm!
we had dinner at Dennys opposite Disneyland before catching the ART shuttle back to the hotel...
our final act of the day was to watch the Disneyland fireworks from our hotel (they are only on Fri-Sun)...
today we were up early for a 6:30am departure to Universal Studios - the drive took 90mins...
as I had purchased our tickets online, not only did we get a cheaper price but it also included early entry to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter (an hour before the park opened)...we rode both the rides there and had a look in the shops before getting on the first Studio Tour of the day at 10am...
we went on all the rides that were open - only Revenge of the Mummy was closed for refurbishment - and our favourite was Harry Potter and The Forbidden Journey (it was breathtakingly awesome!) although all the rides were good...
we also managed to see all the shows without rushing - Universal's Animal Actors, Special Effects Show, The Walking Dead, Shrek 4D and WaterWorld...
after we left the park we wandered along City Walk before departing back to the hotel...this time the drive took 80mins...
tomorrow we hit Disney's California Adventure...
