Duty...

had a decent ride home on Friday...at least cycling doesn't bother my ankle...

the stats:

start time: 5:02pm
total distance: 17.85
total time: 47:05 (including 1:30 stopped time)

total calories: 654

a quick shower and change into warm clothes then I was off to GIO Stadium to watch the Brumbies play the Waratahs with Jodie and Lisa...

it was a fairly dour affair with only one try apiece and both kickers missing a penalty shot...in the end the 'tahs prevailed 13-10...

Saturday, Jodie and I were rostered on for duty for the first Saturday O event of the season at Weston Park...we were on the first shift of registration and it was a mad flurry of cards, maps, compasses and money!

afterwards, after leaving Jodie's car at Pete's in Narrabundah, we headed to Costco to do some shopping and have lunch then found a cool multi-cache in Fyshwick...you need a 9V battery at WP1 to read a code...you then needed to figure out GZ with the code...the code then opened the safe which held the cache!

from there it was to the Pushy's car park sale where I picked up some bits 'n' pieces...and stopped Jodie from buying a bike!

we found another cache near the Harmonie German Club - did you know that there is a piece of the Berlin Wall there?...then it was back to Pete's to buy some shoes using a voucher squiggle had given me for Christmas...I've opted for some spikeless shoes...

Sunday, after dropping the boat back at mum and dad's, Tammie and I played golf in the medley comp...I had an up and down game to finish with 28pts while Tammie had 36pts to finish 3rd in Div B and also picked up nearest the pin on the 8th...her GA handicap has dropped to 16.9 which means she'll be playing off 19 today, her lowest ever...

we called back past mum and dad's to move their trailer into the back yard...

the Jets played their opening match of the season on Saturday and I checked the AFL Canberra website to see if the scores were in and found that the Jets had beaten Eastlake for the first time!
