Catch up!

Saturday 27 December

walked Hodge on his long loop then played golf (stableford) - 35pts, enough to win a ball

later in the afternoon went for a caching walk with Jodie and Lisa - we did the AFL series (18 caches) plus a couple of others before heading back home to watch the end of the cricket...

Sunday 28 December

after walking Hodge, we headed over to Jodie's place for late Christmas with Tammie and squiggle...Tammie then headed to work while Jodie and I took squiggle to Telstra Tower followed by the Botanic Gardens...

we saw lots of water dragons as we headed to the Red Centre Garden where we collected some info to find a cache outside the gardens...we also collected info for another cache relating to paperbark trees, also hidden outside the gardens...

it was back to Jodie's to dinner and the cricket before heading home in the innings break...

Monday 29 December

walked Hodge on his long loop but can't remember what else I did!

Tuesday 30 December

walked Hodge on his long loop

played golf (stableford) - 34pts, again enough to win a ball

Wednesday 31 December

took Hodge and Hunter on Hodge's long loop...

found 5 caches later in the day to finish with 476 for 2014...

had Jodie and Lisa over for dinner to watch the cricket...

managed to stay up to see in the new year

Thursday 1 January

played golf - caught up with speedygeoff while he was doing some hill intervals near the 10th tee...finished with 34pts, again enough to win a ball

took Hodge, Hunter and squiggle to Point Hut Crossing for swim in the late afternoon - first time in the water for either of them...Hodge got the hang of it after being a bit tenttive while Hunter just stood there (he was much happier when Tammie took him to shore!)

Friday 2 January

back to work for me after walking Hodge - drove in as I had cricket at Manuka to score...parked on Forster Crescent (up near the Commonwealth Club) and walked into work - this is where people now park after they made Flynn Drive near Lennox Gardens paid parking...it was already quite warm...

did my first easy run of the year at lunch (and my first since 22 December!)...quite warm it was too...

the stats:
start temp/humidity: 31.2/33% (apparent temp 30.0)
start time: 1:33pm
total distance: 7.09
total time: 40:00
avg pace: 5:39
total calories: 507
avg HR: 149

ACT played WA in T20 match starting at 6pm...ACT won by 12 runs to finally have their first win in this format this season...ACT made 6/141 and dismisses WA for 129 on the last ball

Saturday 3 January

walked both Hodge and Hunter again on the long loop...Hunter is getting a bit keener to come for walks now...

ACT played WA in a one day match which they needed to win with at least one bonus point to stay in the hunt for a semi final berth...WA batted first and made 240 which made ACT's job a little bit harder but they managed to secure the win and the bonus point with 4 balls to spare in the 40th over for the loss of only three wickets...

Sunday 4 January

walked Hodge on his long loop...Hunter wanted to go but I said not this time....

ACT again played WA in a T20 but the result was in complete constrast to the previous two days - ACT were all out for 76 in the 19th over and WA got the runs off 10 overs for the loss of only one wicket...all over in under 2hrs!

ACT have one more round - against Tasmania in Hobart - and will need to win both T20s to get off the bottom of the table...

had a quiet afternoon...

this morning I walked Hodge and Hunter on the work weekday loop before riding in...

the stats:
start temp/humidity: 18.8/79% (apparent temp same)
start time: 7:42am
total distance: 16.65
total time: 40:19 (including 2:08 stopped time)
avg speed: 24.8kph

would have made it in under 40 except I got stuck at the last set of lights!

planning on an easy run at lunch...
